Research, consultancy, and training on peace studies and socio-environmental conflicts

I am a passionate social geographer offering support to institutions and organizations in their research projects, evaluations, and trainings on socio-environmental conflicts and peacebuilding. With expertise in spatial analysis, critical human geography, and political ecology, I bring a unique and comprehensive understanding of complex issues in these fields.

Having worked closely with social movements, I have been inspired by the innovative solutions and resilience of grassroots communities. I recognize that academia often falls short in addressing real-world challenges faced by individuals. This is why I am dedicated to participatory research methods, which, when combined with advanced research techniques, can effectively address the needs and produce impactful outcomes.

Whether you require research, evaluation, training, or consultation services, I am committed to delivering tailored solutions that align with your specific needs and goals. Let’s collaborate in promoting peace and resolving conflicts within our society!

Guiding concepts of research, consultantion and training

Socio and environmental conflict analysis

Humanity belongs to the Earth. Everything is interconnected; what affects the Earth will also affect humanity. Humanity did not weave the web of life, but is merely a strand in it. Whatever we do to the web of life, we do to ourselves. While humanity has been an entropic force, we have the potential to become a powerful negentropic force if we learn to effectively tackle environmental conflicts.

Peace research

Peace is alway a process of creating a new social space. Two premises of social movements guide me in peace studies. Peace is the restitution of the collective functions of the territory (Process of Black Communities, Colombia). Nature is the first political ally in constructing peace (Mapuche Indigenous Peoples). These two premises are significant political and epistemological innovations compared to academic theories of peace.

Human Security

We face a range of complex and interconnected security challenges that threaten the safety, well-being, and dignity of individuals and communities around the world. By promoting a holistic and people-centered approach to security, Human Security offers a framework for addressing these challenges and promoting sustainable development that benefits all members of society.
